Shamus Myres vs Michael Fordyce

Boxing Daily Report from the Logan Cop promoted show at Morningside Arena, Leicester,  taking place on 08/08/2029:

Clearly Logan Cop have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Shamus Myres (7(1) - 0) who hails from Belfast, UK and Michael Fordyce(1 - 6) from Bristol, UK.  Myres weighed in at 244 pounds and 11 ounces, while Fordyce weighed in at 239 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John Dundas, and the three ringside judges are Spencer James, Mick MacNaughton and Matt Ryan.  

Round 1: 

Fordyce gets on the inside.  Myres lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Myres walks Fordyce into the corner.  Myres pivots from in front of his opponent.  Myres is on target with a left uppercut.  Myres ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Myres tries to keep the action at long range.  Myres feints a right, and then lands a cross.  
Myres lands a straight 1 - 2.  He then lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Myres lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Myres holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Myres's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Myres steps inside and walks Fordyce down, trapping him on the ropes.  Myres lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Myres steps away from his opponent.  Myres circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Fordyce throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Myres time to recover.  
Myres advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  Myres ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Myres pushes his forearm into Fordyce's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Myres to stop fouling.  
Myres sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Myres is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Myres holds on to his opponent.  Myres leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Myres steps away from his opponent.  Myres feints a left hook, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Myres lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Fordyce closes the distance.  Myres pivots to the right of his opponent.  Myres lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Myres clinches his opponent.  Myres leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Myres lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Myres is on target with a left hook.  
Myres lands a firm jab to his opponents body.

Fordyce advances into close range.  Myres lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.

Myres pivots to the left of his opponent.  Fordyce goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Myres's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Myres lands with a ramrod jab.  
Myres advances into close range and walks his opponent into the red corner.  Myres pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a firm left uppercut.  
Myres lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Myres pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Myres gets on the inside.  Myres pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Myres switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Myres finds the target with a ramrod jab.  Myres tries to land a cross, but Fordyce slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Fordyce gets on the inside.  Myres pivots to the side of his opponent.  Myres tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Myres is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Fordyce advances into close range.  Myres hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Myres leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Fordyce is whaling away with hooks, but Myres keeps his defence tight.  
Myres attempts to land a left hook, but Fordyce sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
