Santiago Tavera vs Marjun Lastra

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Polideportivo León Condou, Asuncion,  taking place on 12/08/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Tavera (6(3) - 0) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Marjun Lastra(8 - 6(1) - 2) from Asuncion, Paraguay.  Both Tavera and Lastra weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zelipe Colmenares, and the three ringside judges are Zelipe Colmenares, Rio Olavarria and Juan Lainez.  

Round 1: 

Tavera feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Lastra almost instantly gets his legs back.

Tavera connects with a HUGE cross.  LASTRA IS HURT!  
Tavera is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Tavera senses Lastra is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Tavera lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND LASTRA IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Lastra has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Lastra throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Tavera steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Tavera lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tavera finds the target with a solid jab.  
Tavera lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tavera hits home with a sharp cross.

Lastra pivots from in front of his opponent.  Tavera is on target with a telling right hook.  LASTRA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Lastra quickly recovers. 
Tavera lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Lastra recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Lastra attempts to land a right uppercut, but Tavera slips the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Tavera switches the action to the outside.  Tavera quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Tavera lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a straight 1 - 2.

Lastra steps inside.  Lastra sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Tavera connects with a nasty left hook.  LASTRA IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Tavera holds on to his opponent.  Tavera is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Tavera.

Lastra steps inside and manages to force Tavera into the blue corner.  Lastra pivots to the side of his opponent.  Tavera digs in a solid left hook to his opponents liver.  Tavera ties up his opponent.  Tavera leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Lastra pivots to the right of his opponent.  Lastra throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Tavera is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand left to the head followed by a cross to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Lastra quickly recovers.
