Salvador Pino vs Juan Riva

Boxing Daily Report from the Ntshangase Promotions promoted show at Valencia Tadeo, Valencia,  taking place on 14/08/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Venezuela-Carabobo Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Salvador Pino (11(5) - 0) who hails from Valencia, Venezuela and Juan Riva(7 - 15(1) - 4) from Valencia, Venezuela.  Pino weighed in at 160 pounds, while Riva weighed in at 160 pounds And 9 ounces.    As Riva came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is Elias Irene, and the three ringside judges are Reyes Monico, Elias Irene and Ovidio Armando.  

Round 1: 

Pino lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Pino clinches his opponent.  Pino is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pino.  
Pino gets on the inside.  Riva pivots to the side of his opponent.  Pino throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Pino ties up his opponent.  Pino leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pino steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Pino ties up his opponent.  Pino is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Riva steps away from his opponent.  Pino is on target with a firm cross.  
Pino closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Pino sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Pino hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Pino closes the distance and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Pino lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Pino ties up his opponent.  Pino is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pino.  Riva almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Pino is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Pino clinches his opponent.  Pino is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pino lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head, AND KNOCKS RIVA DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Pino is on target with a solid cross.  
Pino lands a sharp right hook.  
Pino gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Riva pivots to the side of his opponent.  Pino hits home with a left hook.  Pino ties up his opponent.  Pino hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pino about fouling.  
Pino is on target with a right hook.  
Pino advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Pino holds on to his opponent.  Pino is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Pino's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pino lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Pino lands a sharp left hook.  Pino clinches his opponent.  Pino tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Riva's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pino.  
Pino closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Pino lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Pino lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Riva's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Riva's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Riva now seems to have his senses back.  
Pino connects with a sharp right uppercut.  Pino clinches his opponent.  Pino leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Pino to stop holding.  
Pino lands a jab.  
Pino steps inside.  Pino sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Pino is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Pino drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Pino throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pino walks Riva into a corner.  Pino lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Pino closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  Pino clinches his opponent.  Pino uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Riva behind the head. The referee warns Pino and breaks the clinch.  
Riva tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Pino lands a stinging jab.  
Pino lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Riva pivots to the side of his opponent.  Riva attempts to land a left uppercut, but Pino slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pino manages to force Riva into a corner.  Pino lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Pino lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Riva quickly recovers. 
Pino digs in a left uppercut to Riva's body.  
Pino steps inside and connects with a right hook.  
Riva throws a left uppercut, but Pino holds on to his opponent.  Pino leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pino to stop holding.  
Pino is on target with a cross to Riva's body.  
Pino advances into close range and lands a MASSIVE right hook.  RIVA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Pino lands a CRUSHING right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE RIVA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Pino senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Pino lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND SENDS RIVA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Pino!
