Robert Thomas vs William McQuire

Boxing Daily Report from the Braveheart promoted show at Colin McNeff Gym, Dundee,  taking place on 13/08/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the British-Scotland Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Thomas (10 - 16(2) - 4) who hails from Glasgow, UK and William McQuire(14 - 11(5) - 1) from Glasgow, UK.  Both Thomas and McQuire weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Marcus Couch, and the three ringside judges are Iain MacCracken, John McVicker and Peter McAlister.  

Round 1: 

Thomas hits home with a cross.  
McQuire digs in a left hook to Thomas's body.  McQuire ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McQuire pushes his forearm into Thomas's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McQuire about fouling.  
Thomas is looking to keep his distance.  McQuire hits home with an overhand right.  
McQuire manages to force Thomas into a corner.  McQuire drives a right hook into Thomas's body.  
McQuire digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.

McQuire connects with a right hook.  McQuire clinches his opponent.  McQuire leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks McQuire's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Thomas throws a left hook, but McQuire ties up his opponent.  McQuire uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Thomas's kidney. As they grapple, McQuire pushes his forearm into Thomas's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns McQuire.

McQuire steps inside and digs in a left hook to Thomas's body.  McQuire ties up his opponent.  McQuire tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Thomas's kidney. The ref breaks McQuire's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

McQuire lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  McQuire holds on to his opponent.  McQuire leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Thomas dabs at his face checking for damage.  Thomas has taken some damage there.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.

Thomas steps to the outside.  Thomas sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McQuire is on target with a sharp cross.
