John Gurganus vs Durand Gilis

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Oracle Arena, Oakland,  taking place on 11/10/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tank John Gurganus (13(7) - 0) who hails from Markham, Canada and Durand Gilis(18 - 9(4) - 1) from The Hague, Netherlands.  Gurganus weighed in at 168 pounds, while Gilis weighed in at 167 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sam Leamon, and the three ringside judges are John Torrance, Sam Lowe and Noel Cadwalader.  

Round 1: 

Gurganus lands a cross to the head, a jab to the body and an overhand left to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Gilis almost instantly gets his legs back.
