John Malcomson vs Antwan Lucas

Boxing Daily Report from the T5 Promotions promoted show at Manukau Bett, Manukau,  taking place on 28/07/2029:

Clearly T5 Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Malcomson (9(3) - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Antwan Lucas(7 - 7(2)) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Both Malcomson and Lucas weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Declan Haturini, and the three ringside judges are Chris Kellie, Robert Haturini and Louis Paipa.  

Round 1: 

Malcomson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Malcomson digs in a left hook to Lucas's body.  
Malcomson advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  Malcomson digs in a potent right hook to his opponents ribs.  LUCAS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Malcomson clinches his opponent.  Malcomson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Malcomson tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lucas behind the head. Lucas quickly recovers. 
Malcomson advances into close range.  Malcomson pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Malcomson lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Malcomson cuts off the ring, trapping Lucas on the ropes.  Malcomson lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Lucas switches the action to the outside.  Malcomson lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Malcomson advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Malcomson steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING LUCAS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Malcomson knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Malcomson drives a powerful left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  LUCAS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Malcomson lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS LUCAS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Lucas has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Malcomson advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Malcomson lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Malcomson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Malcomson pushes his forearm into Lucas's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Lucas quickly recovers. 
Lucas steps away from his opponent.  Malcomson hits home with an overhand left.  
Malcomson gets on the inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  Lucas throws a right uppercut, but Malcomson holds on to his opponent.  Malcomson tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lucas behind the head. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lucas's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Lucas's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Lucas's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Malcomson connects with a cross.  
Malcomson closes the distance and is on target with a solid left uppercut to Lucas's body.  
Malcomson lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Malcomson closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  Malcomson holds on to his opponent.  Malcomson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Malcomson is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Malcomson lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
Lucas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Malcomson lands a sharp jab.  
Malcomson forces Lucas to back into a corner.  Malcomson lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Malcomson sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Lucas tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with an overhand left.  
Malcomson lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Malcomson gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to Lucas's body.  
Malcomson advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut to Lucas's liver.  
Malcomson walks Lucas into a neutral corner.  Malcomson digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Malcomson lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Malcomson throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Malcomson clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Malcomson pushes his forearm into Lucas's face.  The ref breaks Malcomson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Malcomson lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Malcomson digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Lucas hits home with a right hook.  Malcomson ties up his opponent.  Malcomson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Malcomson uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Lucas's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Malcomson to stop fouling.  
Lucas drives a left hook into Malcomson's ribs.  
Malcomson lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Malcomson lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Lucas's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Lucas steps away from his opponent.  Malcomson lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Malcomson drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Lucas throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Lucas tries to keep the action at long range.  Malcomson lands a cross.  
Malcomson finds the target with a solid jab.  
Malcomson advances into close range and is on target with a telling left hook to Lucas's liver.  LUCAS IS HURT!  
Lucas could be stopped here, if Malcomson can find the right shot!  Malcomson lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND DOWN GOES LUCAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Lucas cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Malcomson!
