Shehu Salihu vs Mark Jakande

Boxing Daily Report from the Adusei Promotions promoted show at Majid Saah Gym, Bama,  taking place on 27/08/2029:

Clearly Adusei Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Borno State Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Shehu Salihu (6 - 10(2)) who hails from Maiduguri, Nigeria and Mark Jakande(4(2) - 0) from Maiduguri, Nigeria.  Salihu weighed in at 154 pounds, while Jakande weighed in at 153 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Irfan Rahaim, and the three ringside judges are Sam Igbinadolor, Shehu Akande and Gethin Rotimi.  

Round 1: 

Jakande closes the distance.  Salihu throws a left hook, but Jakande holds on to his opponent.  Jakande pushes his forearm into Salihu's face.  The ref breaks Jakande's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Jakande lands a firm right hook.  
Jakande drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Jakande digs in a stinging left uppercut to Salihu's body.  
Jakande lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Jakande lands a sharp right hook.  
Jakande snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Jakande advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Jakande advances into close range.  Salihu pivots to the side of his opponent.  Jakande tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Jakande closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Jakande walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Jakande pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Jakande has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Jakande lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Jakande throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Salihu's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Salihu's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Salihu's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
