Quinto Taal vs Frisco Briceno

Boxing Daily Report from the Kpegah Promotions promoted show at Lapu-Lapu Borja, Lapu-Lapu,  taking place on 27/08/2029:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Philippines-Cebu Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Quinto Taal (18 - 5 - 2) who hails from Cebu City, Philippines and Frisco Briceno(13 - 10 - 1) from Cebu City, Philippines.  Taal weighed in at 140 pounds, while Briceno weighed in at 139 pounds And 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Emanuel Pansoy, and the three ringside judges are Jair Puyot, Carlos Dimanlig and Robert Ramon.  

Round 1: 

Briceno is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Taal dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Taal.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
