Paul Coughlin vs Alex Lindsay

Boxing Daily Report from the Braveheart promoted show at Edinburgh Griffith, Edinburgh,  taking place on 15/08/2029:

Clearly Braveheart have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Scotland Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Coughlin (6 - 1 - 2) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Alex Lindsay(16(3) - 3 - 2) from Glasgow, UK.  Coughlin weighed in at 160 pounds, while Lindsay weighed in at 159 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Anton Adam, and the three ringside judges are William Owen, Gordon Loch and Angus Greenaway.  

Round 1: 

Lindsay is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Coughlin throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Lindsay lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Coughlin is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right.  
Coughlin advances into close range.  Lindsay lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Lindsay lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Coughlin tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.

Coughlin pivots to the right of his opponent.  Lindsay lands a stiff jab.  Lindsay attempts to land a jab, but Coughlin sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lindsay steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Lindsay holds on to his opponent.  Lindsay is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lindsay to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Coughlin's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Coughlin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Coughlin's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Coughlin switches the action to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Coughlin steps away from his opponent and is on target with an overhand right.  
Lindsay lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Coughlin is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Lindsay lands a cross.  
Lindsay sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Lindsay manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Lindsay sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Lindsay gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body, DROPPING COUGHLIN TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Coughlin almost instantly recovers. 
Lindsay walks Coughlin onto the ropes.  Lindsay lands a right hook.  
Lindsay lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lindsay digs in a right hook to Coughlin's ribcage.  
Lindsay lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Lindsay steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Lindsay clinches his opponent.  Lindsay uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Coughlin's kidney. The ref breaks Lindsay's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
