Xabat Olvera vs Vicente Mingo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Honduras-Cortes promoted show at Rodrigo Sambrano Gym, Choloma,  taking place on 17/09/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Honduras-Cortes Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xabat Olvera (8 - 8 - 7) who hails from Choloma, Honduras and Vicente Mingo(3(2) - 1) from Choloma, Honduras.  Olvera weighed in at 153 pounds and 9 ounces, while Mingo weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Guido Campa, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Badillo, Fidel Llorente and Guido Campa.  

Round 1: 

Mingo advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Olvera is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Olvera drives a jab into Mingo's body.  Olvera throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a hurtful left uppercut.  OLVERA IS HURT!  
Mingo closes the distance.  The right shot from Mingo could be enough to force the stoppage!  Mingo is on target with a HUGE right uppercut.  OLVERA HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Olvera now seems to have his senses back.  
Olvera steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mingo is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Mingo ties up his opponent.  Mingo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mingo lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mingo manages to force Olvera into a neutral corner.  Mingo throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Mingo ties up his opponent.  Mingo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mingo throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Mingo clinches his opponent.  Mingo pushes his forearm into Olvera's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mingo to stop fouling.  
Olvera is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a cross.  
Mingo is looking to close the distance and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Olvera tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two straights followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Mingo steps inside and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Mingo feints a cross, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Mingo pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Olvera steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  
Mingo gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mingo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Olvera is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Mingo lands a hard jab.  
Mingo closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.

Olvera steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Mingo blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Mingo steps inside and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Mingo gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mingo ties up his opponent.  Mingo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Olvera tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a VICIOUS right uppercut.  OLVERA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Olvera recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Olvera's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Olvera's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Olvera is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mingo gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Mingo gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!
