Fidel Paredes vs Jair Orrantia

Boxing Daily Report from the Mutagamba Promotions promoted show at Rosario Custodio, Rosario,  taking place on 16/10/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Argentina-Santa Fe Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Publica, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fidel Paredes (22(12) - 1(1)) who hails from Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, Argentina and Jair Orrantia(9 - 8(2) - 1) from Rosario, Argentina.  Paredes weighed in at 126 pounds, while Orrantia weighed in at 125 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Montana Gonzalo, and the three ringside judges are Diego Camisa, Joaquin Arena and Beltran Luna.  

Round 1:

Orrantia forces Paredes to retreat onto the ropes.  Paredes knows Orrantia is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Paredes lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND ORRANTIA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Orrantia now seems to have got his legs back.  
Paredes steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Paredes tries to step out of his opponents range.  Paredes feints a cross, and then lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Paredes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a sharp overhand right.

Paredes tries to step out of his opponents range.  Paredes drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Orrantia tries to land a cross, but Paredes sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Orrantia is looking to close the distance.  Paredes lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  Paredes clinches his opponent.  Paredes is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Paredes's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Paredes steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by  two straights to his opponents head.

Paredes is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Orrantia almost instantly gets his legs back.

Paredes lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Orrantia quickly recovers. 
Orrantia closes the distance.  Paredes lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Paredes ties up his opponent.  Orrantia is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Paredes's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Paredes pivots from in front of his opponent.  Paredes lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Paredes ties up his opponent.  Paredes pushes his forearm into Orrantia's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Paredes.  
Paredes is looking to keep his distance and snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.  
Paredes feints a right hook, and then is on target with a jab.  
Orrantia gets on the inside and forces Paredes to retreat onto the ropes.  Paredes throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Paredes holds on to his opponent.  Paredes uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Orrantia behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Paredes steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a ramrod jab.

Paredes lands a cross to the head, a jab to the head and a jab to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Orrantia gets on the inside.  Paredes is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Paredes lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES ORRANTIA!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Paredes!
