Alen Pierce vs Ian Kettles

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Celebrity Theatre, Phoenix,  taking place on 01/12/2029:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alen Pierce (27(15) - 0) who hails from Long Beach, USA and Ian Kettles(21(2) - 5 - 2) from Fort Collins, USA.  Both Pierce and Kettles weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tariq Mahmoud, and the three ringside judges are John Drennan, Ian Stephens and Richie Mulherin.  

Round 1: 

Pierce tries to keep the action at long range.  Pierce sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.

Kettles walks Pierce down, trapping him on the ropes.  Some sustained pressure from Pierce could be enough to finish Kettles!  Pierce SLAMS a spiteful left uppercut into his opponents face.  KETTLES IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  
Pierce EXPLODES a nasty left uppercut into his opponents face.  KETTLES IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  Kettles now seems to have got his legs back.  
Kettles sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Pierce lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pierce tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kettles closes the distance.  Pierce attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Kettles time to recover.  
Pierce tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2, AND SENDS KETTLES SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Kettles can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Pierce!
