William McPhillips vs Darragh MacKay

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Leinster promoted show at Leinster Hall, Dundalk,  taking place on 16/10/2029:

Clearly AI Ireland-Leinster have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Celtic Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are William McPhillips (21 - 1) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Darragh MacKay(16(8) - 0) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both McPhillips and MacKay weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leon Finnin, and the three ringside judges are Mike Green, Will Nolan and Leon McPeters.  

Round 1: 

MacKay pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab.  
McPhillips closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

MacKay pivots to the side of his opponent.  MacKay hits home with a hard jab.  MacKay throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
McPhillips tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
MacKay walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  MacKay hits home with a ramrod jab.  
McPhillips quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
McPhillips steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
MacKay is looking to keep the action on the outside.  McPhillips hits home with an overhand right.  
McPhillips steps inside and drives a left hook into MacKay's liver.  
McPhillips connects with a right hook.  MacKay holds on to his opponent.  MacKay is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns MacKay.

MacKay is on target with a nasty left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MCPHILLIPS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Some sustained pressure from MacKay could be enough to finish McPhillips!  MacKay lands a left hook, left uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND MCPHILLIPS IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  McPhillips now seems to have got his legs back.
