Yasin Petros vs Yong-jae Ki

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at Songnim Arena, Incheon,  taking place on 22/10/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yasin Petros (5(3) - 1) who hails from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Yong-jae Ki(6 - 3) from Seongnam, South Korea.  Petros weighed in at 117 pounds and 14 ounces, while Ki weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sung-yun Chang, and the three ringside judges are Chul Pyun, Ki-hun Baik and Hyun-jun Noh.  

Round 1: 

Petros connects with a cross.

Petros leans on his opponent using all his weight. Petros pushes his forearm into Ki's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Petros throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Ki walks Petros down, trapping him on the ropes.  Petros lands a sharp jab.

Ki sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Petros is on target with a solid right hook to Ki's body.  
Petros closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to Ki's liver.  
Petros digs in a right uppercut to Ki's ribs.  
Ki steps away from his opponent and hits home with an overhand left.  
Petros drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Petros forces Ki to retreat into the blue corner.  Petros lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Petros clinches his opponent.  Petros pushes his forearm into Ki's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Petros about fouling.  
Petros lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Petros lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Petros clinches his opponent.  Petros leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ki's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Ki's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Ki throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Petros time to recover.  
Petros lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Petros digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Petros lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Petros attempts to land a right hook, but Ki blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Petros closes the distance.  Petros drives a left hook into Ki's body.  Petros wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ki dabs at his face checking for damage.

Petros lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Petros is looking to close the distance.  Petros sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ki tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Petros closes the distance and drives a sharp right hook into Ki's body.

Petros gets on the inside and whips in a mean left hook to Ki's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE KI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Ki almost instantly recovers. 
Petros is on target with a cross.  
Petros steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Petros manouvers Ki into the corner.  Petros lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Petros lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
The right shot from Petros could be enough to force the stoppage!  Petros lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND DROPS KI!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Ki cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Petros!
