Aaron Ngawharau vs Dai Kimmey

Boxing Daily Report from the T5 Promotions promoted show at Auckland Borland, Auckland,  taking place on 25/10/2029:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aaron Ngawharau (9 - 13 - 2) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Dai Kimmey(16(2) - 0) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Both Ngawharau and Kimmey weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Antwan Vaughan, and the three ringside judges are Harvey Dorch, Rob Horsburgh and Mark Kinzey.  

Round 1: 

Kimmey steps inside and forces Ngawharau to back into the corner.  Kimmey lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Ngawharau throws a left uppercut, but Kimmey ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Kimmey pushes his forearm into Ngawharau's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kimmey to stop fouling.  
Kimmey lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Kimmey lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Kimmey lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Kimmey ties up his opponent.  Kimmey is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Kimmey is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Kimmey lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Kimmey clinches his opponent.  Kimmey is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Kimmey's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ngawharau throws a right hook, but Kimmey clinches his opponent.  Kimmey leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Kimmey lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Kimmey manages to force Ngawharau into a corner.  Kimmey lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Kimmey ties up his opponent.  Kimmey throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kimmey to stop fouling.  
Ngawharau throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Kimmey's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Kimmey lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  Kimmey clinches his opponent.  Kimmey leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kimmey is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook.  
Kimmey walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Kimmey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a firm left uppercut.  
Kimmey lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kimmey steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Kimmey ties up his opponent.  Ngawharau is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Kimmey's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ngawharau is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab to Kimmey's body.  
Ngawharau switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Kimmey blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Kimmey advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Ngawharau tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand left.  
Ngawharau steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a cross, but Kimmey sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kimmey steps inside and drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Kimmey lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Ngawharau steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ngawharau's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Ngawharau's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
