Lewis Leslie vs James Purves

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Spotswood, Christchurch,  taking place on 06/11/2029:

Clearly AI New Zealand-Canterbury have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lewis Leslie (7 - 10(1) - 5) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and James Purves(6 - 9 - 2) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Leslie and Purves weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Webb, and the three ringside judges are Mark Atchison, Ewan Roxburgh and David Neild.  

Round 1: 

Purves gets on the inside.  Purves drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Leslie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Purves drives a left uppercut into Leslie's body.  
Purves walks Leslie down, trapping him in a corner.  Leslie drives a left uppercut into Purves's liver.  
Leslie tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand left.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Leslie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Purves digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Leslie's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Purves's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.
