Vikenti Kovalchik vs Valeri Ponomarenko

Boxing Daily Report from the Kwabi Promotions promoted show at Koldan Povetkin Gym, Samara,  taking place on 30/10/2029:

Clearly Kwabi Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Samara Oblast Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vikenti Kovalchik (7 - 11) who hails from Samara, Russia and Valeri Ponomarenko(10 - 14 - 3) from Tolyatti, Russia.  Both Kovalchik and Ponomarenko weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fadei Simonich, and the three ringside judges are Viktor Sokoloff, Kolzak Kazakov and Fedor Urban.  

Round 1: 

Kovalchik tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.
