Quiqui Cato vs Oihane Penaloza

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Venezuela-Anzoategui promoted show at Barcelona Calleja, Barcelona,  taking place on 02/11/2029:

Clearly AI Venezuela-Anzoategui have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela-Anzoategui Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Quiqui Cato (5 - 0) who hails from Barcelona, Venezuela and Oihane Penaloza(12 - 13 - 3) from Barcelona, Venezuela.  Cato weighed in at 159 pounds and 7 ounces, while Penaloza weighed in at 160 pounds and 14 ounces.    As Penaloza came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Celeste, and the three ringside judges are Xaverius Estremera, Emanuel Tax and Bronco Lopez.

Cato is on target with a jab to Penaloza's body.

Cato sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands with a stiff jab.  
Cato hits home with a ramrod jab.

Penaloza forces Cato to back into the ropes.  Penaloza tries to land a cross, but Cato blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Cato tries to step out of his opponents range.  Cato quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a stiff jab.  
Cato is on target with a cross.  
Cato lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Penaloza cuts off the ring, trapping Cato on the ropes.  Penaloza sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cato lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cato lands a sharp jab.  
Cato lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Cato lands a solid jab.  
Penaloza closes the distance.  Cato lands a left hook.  Cato ties up his opponent.  Cato is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Penaloza closes the distance.  Cato pivots to the side of his opponent.  Cato throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Cato clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Cato pushes his forearm into Penaloza's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cato.  
Cato lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Penaloza is looking to close the distance.  Cato pivots to the side of his opponent.  Cato drives a sharp left hook into his opponents ribs.  Cato holds on to his opponent.  Cato tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Penaloza's kidney. The referee warns Cato and breaks the clinch.  
Penaloza closes the distance.  Cato throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Cato ties up his opponent.  Cato leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Penaloza's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Penaloza's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Penaloza sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cato connects with a nasty left uppercut.  PENALOZA IS HURT!  
Cato tries to keep the action at long range.  Cato knows Penaloza is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Cato lands a spiteful left uppercut.  PENALOZA HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Cato lands a spiteful left hook.  PENALOZA IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE REMAINS ON THE CANVAS AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Cato!
