Dom Penrose vs Joe Eddie

Boxing Daily Report from the Bimi Promotions promoted show at Kapenta Gym, Augusta,  taking place on 02/12/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Georgia Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dom Penrose (9(1) - 18(1) - 3) who hails from Athens, USA and Joe Eddie(26(16) - 6(2)) from Athens, USA.  Both Penrose and Eddie weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Lou, and the three ringside judges are Ewan Rodgers, Jacob Quigley and Noel Lawther.  

Round 1: 

Penrose lands a cross.  
Eddie lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Eddie sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Eddie throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Eddie ties up his opponent.  Eddie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Eddie lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Eddie hits home with a sharp right hook.  Eddie tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Penrose steps away from his opponent.  Penrose quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Eddie lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Eddie is on target with a stinging cross.  
Eddie steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Eddie holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Eddie lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Eddie closes the distance and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Penrose switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Eddie closes the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.  Eddie clinches his opponent.  Eddie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Eddie pushes his forearm into Penrose's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Penrose tries to keep the action at long range.  Eddie lands a jab.  
Eddie throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Eddie is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Penrose tries to land a jab, but Eddie slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Penrose switches the action to the outside.  Eddie finds the target with a jab.  
Penrose throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Eddie throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Eddie feints a jab, but Penrose is not fooled and lands with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Penrose's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Penrose's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Eddie gets on the inside.  Penrose throws a right uppercut, but Eddie clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Eddie pushes his forearm into Penrose's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Penrose steps to the outside.  Eddie feints a jab, and then lands a cross.  
Penrose is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Eddie lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Eddie lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Eddie walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Eddie lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Eddie switches the action to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Penrose is on target with a cross.  
Eddie lands a sharp overhand left.  
Eddie gets on the inside and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Penrose dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Eddie connects with a right hook.  Eddie clinches his opponent.  Eddie hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Eddie.  
Penrose finds the target with a jab.  
Eddie steps inside and forces Penrose to retreat onto the ropes.  Penrose throws a right hook, but Eddie holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Eddie lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Eddie closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Eddie connects with a sharp left hook.  
Eddie connects with a firm left uppercut.  
Penrose steps away from his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Eddie lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Eddie lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Eddie hits home with a ramrod jab.  Eddie tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Eddie steps inside and walks Penrose onto the ropes.  Eddie throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Eddie clinches his opponent.  Eddie leans on his opponent using all his weight. Eddie tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Penrose behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Penrose tries to keep the action at long range.  Eddie lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Eddie manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Eddie lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.

Eddie cuts off the ring, trapping Penrose in a neutral corner.  Eddie lands a cross to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Eddie lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Eddie lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Eddie lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Eddie is on target with a right hook.  
Eddie lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Penrose recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Eddie lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Penrose closes the distance.  Eddie lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Penrose steps away from his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.

At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Penrose's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Eddie closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into the blue corner.  Eddie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Eddie tries to land a jab, but Penrose sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Eddie lands a solid left hook.  
Eddie lands a right hook.  
Eddie walks Penrose onto the ropes.  Eddie is on target with a left hook.  
Eddie advances into close range.  Penrose tries to land a left hook, but Eddie parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Eddie pivots to the right of his opponent.  Penrose connects with a right uppercut.  
Eddie steps inside and manages to force Penrose onto the ropes.  Eddie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a spiteful left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE PENROSE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Eddie steps away from his opponent.  Some sustained pressure from Eddie could be enough to finish Penrose!  Eddie lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS PENROSE DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Penrose now seems to have got his legs back.  
Eddie SLAMS a SAVAGE left hook into his opponents face.  PENROSE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Penrose could be stopped here, if Eddie can find the right shot!  Eddie SLAMS a MASSIVE left hook into his opponents face.  PENROSE IS DOWN!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Eddie!
