Gavin McCloy vs James Mewies

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Webster Hall, New York City,  taking place on 01/12/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gavin McCloy (6(1) - 0) who hails from Birmingham, UK and James Mewies(3 - 0 - 1) from Phoenix, USA.  McCloy weighed in at 135 pounds, while Mewies weighed in at 134 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dom Kilgour, and the three ringside judges are Cole Milroy, Joe Bearup and Dan Ronald.  

Round 1: 

McCloy is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  McCloy ties up his opponent.  McCloy is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks McCloy's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McCloy steps inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.

McCloy steps inside.  McCloy senses Mewies is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  McCloy drives a weighty right uppercut into Mewies's body.  MEWIES IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
McCloy lands a cross to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body, AND DROPS MEWIES!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is McCloy!
