Emanuel Sambrano vs Fresco Pozo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Azuay promoted show at Cuenco Canchola, Cuenco,  taking place on 20/12/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Ecuador-Santo Domingo Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Emanuel Sambrano (11(4) - 0) who hails from Santo Domingo, Ecuador and Fresco Pozo(10 - 14(2) - 5) from Santo Domingo, Ecuador.  Sambrano weighed in at 112 pounds, while Pozo weighed in at 111 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ovidio Vallez, and the three ringside judges are Juan Hernandez, Angel Mayor and Joaquin Olmos.  

Round 1: 

Sambrano steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Sambrano ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sambrano pushes his forearm into Pozo's face.  The referee warns Sambrano and breaks the clinch.  
Pozo tries to keep the action at long range.  Sambrano lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sambrano steps inside.  Pozo throws a left hook, but Sambrano ties up his opponent.  Sambrano uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Pozo's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sambrano steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Sambrano holds on to his opponent.  Sambrano tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Pozo's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sambrano.  
Sambrano lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sambrano advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sambrano lands a sharp left hook.  
Sambrano manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Sambrano lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  Sambrano clinches his opponent.  Sambrano is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.

Pozo attempts to land a jab, but Sambrano sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Sambrano advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pozo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Sambrano lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sambrano is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Sambrano lands a cross to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Sambrano steps inside.  Sambrano quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Pozo throws a left hook, but Sambrano holds on to his opponent.  Sambrano pushes his forearm into Pozo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sambrano about fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pozo's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Pozo's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Sambrano lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sambrano drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  Sambrano clinches his opponent.  Sambrano pushes his forearm into Pozo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sambrano about fouling.

Sambrano pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Sambrano hits home with a solid jab.  
Pozo tries to step out of his opponents range.  Sambrano lands a jab, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Sambrano lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Pozo tries to keep the action at long range.  Sambrano lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

The winner by KO is Sambrano!
