Boxing Daily Report from the Sultan's Fists promoted show at Berjaya Convention Centre, Johor Bahru,  taking place on 07/01/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV3, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Khalid Shahin (14(9) - 0 - 1) who hails from Shah Alam, Malaysia and Hanuman Chahal(13 - 3 - 11) from New Delhi, India.  Both Shahin and Chahal weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Farhan Younis, and the three ringside judges are Azam Hamdan, Farhan Younis and Obaid Diab.  

Round 1: 

Chahal advances into close range.  Shahin throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Shahin clinches his opponent.  Shahin leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Shahin steps to the outside.  Shahin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid cross.  
Shahin switches the action to the outside and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Shahin tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Shahin sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Chahal gets on the inside.  Shahin lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  Shahin clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Shahin's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
