Mark Cowens vs Mike Albany

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Kingston promoted show at Kingston Moss, Kingston,  taking place on 20/12/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Jamaica-Kingston Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Cowens (12(1) - 1(1)) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Mike Albany(7 - 14(1) - 2) from Kingston, Jamaica.  Both Cowens and Albany weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Spotswood, and the three ringside judges are Sid Eddie, Rob Nivison and John Woodburn.  

Round 1: 

Cowens closes the distance.  Cowens pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Albany lands a right hook.  
Cowens gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Cowens sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Cowens throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Albany walks Cowens onto the ropes.  Albany circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Cowens is on target with a cross.  
Albany switches the action to the outside.  Cowens lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Cowens is looking to close the distance and connects with a stinging left hook.  Cowens tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

You can sense the frustration from Albany now.   He pushes his head into Cowens's face...that looked intentional!  The ref tells Albany to keep his head out of his opponents face.  He gives Cowens time to recover.

Albany is getting frustrated here.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed well below the belt! The ref halts the action and sends Cowens to the neutral corner.    He has a stern word with Albany and warns that a point will be deducted if he continues to foul.
