Basiel Lapierre vs Berre Van Eecke

Boxing Daily Report from the Empire Boxing promoted show at Rotterdam Van Gayseele, Rotterdam,  taking place on 26/11/2029:

Clearly Empire Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Netherlands-South Holland Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Basiel Lapierre (6 - 3) who hails from Rotterdam, Netherlands and Berre Van Eecke(4(3) - 1 - 1) from The Hague, Netherlands.  Both Lapierre and Van Eecke weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jefke Abelmont, and the three ringside judges are Jacques Meynfroot, Ruud Mercator and Petrus Ermarin.  

Round 1: 

Van Eecke steps inside.  Van Eecke quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lapierre throws a left hook, but Van Eecke clinches his opponent.  Van Eecke uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lapierre behind the head. The referee warns Van Eecke and breaks the clinch.  
Lapierre is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Van Eecke digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  Van Eecke tries to land a right uppercut, but Lapierre sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Van Eecke lands a stinging right uppercut.  As Van Eecke tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lapierre dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Lapierre tries to step out of his opponents range.  Van Eecke feints a right hook, and then lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Van Eecke is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Van Eecke ties up his opponent.  Van Eecke pushes his forearm into Lapierre's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Van Eecke.  
Lapierre attempts to land a left hook, but Van Eecke sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Van Eecke pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Van Eecke lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Van Eecke throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Van Eecke holds on to his opponent.  Van Eecke leans on his opponent using all his weight. Van Eecke throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Van Eecke about fouling.  
Van Eecke manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Van Eecke is on target with a firm left hook.  
Van Eecke pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Lapierre tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a jab.  
Van Eecke steps inside.  Van Eecke sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Van Eecke digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  Van Eecke holds on to his opponent.  Van Eecke leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lapierre tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Van Eecke walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Van Eecke pivots from in front of his opponent.  Van Eecke lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Van Eecke clinches his opponent.  Lapierre pushes his forearm into Van Eecke's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Van Eecke hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  Van Eecke attempts to land a jab, but Lapierre slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Van Eecke lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Van Eecke advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Van Eecke pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Van Eecke steps inside and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Lapierre steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Van Eecke steps inside.  Van Eecke pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lapierre steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Van Eecke is looking to close the distance.  Van Eecke pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Van Eecke connects with a left hook.  Van Eecke holds on to his opponent.  Van Eecke leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Van Eecke's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lapierre is looking to close the distance.  Van Eecke lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Van Eecke sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Lapierre closes the distance and walks Van Eecke down, trapping him on the ropes.  Van Eecke connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lapierre's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Lapierre pivots to the left of his opponent.  Lapierre throws a right uppercut, but Van Eecke ties up his opponent.  Van Eecke is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Van Eecke's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Van Eecke closes the distance and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Van Eecke pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Lapierre throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm right hook to Lapierre's body.  
Van Eecke lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Van Eecke holds on to his opponent.  Van Eecke is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Van Eecke uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Lapierre's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Van Eecke about fouling.

Van Eecke pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body, AND KNOCKS LAPIERRE DOWN!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Van Eecke!
