Ashley Lin vs John Malcomson

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Auckland promoted show at Auckland Bees, Auckland,  taking place on 25/12/2029:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ashley Lin (11 - 9(2) - 1) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and John Malcomson(10(4) - 0) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Lin weighed in at 107 pounds and 3 ounces, while Malcomson weighed in at 107 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Justin Patariki, and the three ringside judges are Jack Hislop, Mark Kinzey and Justin Kahukakanui.  

Round 1: 

Malcomson is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Malcomson walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Malcomson lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Lin pivots to the right of his opponent.  Malcomson lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Malcomson is on target with an overhand right.  
Malcomson advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Lin tries to keep the action at long range.  Malcomson connects with a cross.  
Malcomson feints a jab, fooling Lin into throwing a left uppercut counter.  Malcomson springs the trap, countering with  a firm left hook.  
Malcomson lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Malcomson lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Malcomson forces Lin to back into the ropes.  Malcomson lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Malcomson hits home with a right hook.  
Malcomson lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Malcomson holds on to his opponent.  Malcomson pushes his forearm into Lin's face.  The referee warns Malcomson and breaks the clinch.  
Malcomson is on target with a left uppercut to Lin's body.  
Malcomson lands a jab.  Malcomson throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Malcomson's ribcage.  
Lin throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Malcomson drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Malcomson digs in a firm right hook to Lin's body.  
Malcomson gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Lin's liver.  
Malcomson lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Malcomson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lin throws a left hook, but Malcomson holds on to his opponent.  Malcomson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Malcomson lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lin's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Lin's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Lin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice. Malcomson thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Lin away.  Malcomson crashes a big right hook to his opponents body.  LIN IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Malcomson drives a forceful left hook into his opponents liver.  LIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Malcomson lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS LIN TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Lin is looking to keep his distance.  Malcomson lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a cross to the head.  The winner by KO is Malcomson!
