Karan Gaud vs Arun Manjhi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Tamil Nadu promoted show at Chennai Yohannan, Chennai,  taking place on 01/01/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the India-Tamil Nadu Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Karan Gaud (21(13) - 1) who hails from Chennai, India and Arun Manjhi(15 - 15(1) - 3) from Chennai, India.  Both Gaud and Manjhi weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aftab Dia, and the three ringside judges are Madhav Kamdar, Girish Mehra and Girish Mehra.  

Round 1: 

Gaud gets on the inside.  Gaud lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  Gaud ties up his opponent.  Gaud is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gaud.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Manjhi dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Gaud closes the distance.  Gaud digs in a left uppercut to Manjhi's body.  Gaud clinches his opponent.  Gaud is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  As Manjhi tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gaud dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Gaud walks his opponent into a corner.  Gaud throws a right uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Gaud holds on to his opponent.  Gaud leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gaud sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Gaud is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  Gaud holds on to his opponent.  Gaud is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Gaud about fouling.  
Gaud is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  Gaud attempts to land a left uppercut, but Manjhi blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gaud gets on the inside.  Manjhi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Manjhi throws a left hook, but Gaud holds on to his opponent.  Gaud leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gaud connects with a FEARSOME left hook.  MANJHI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Gaud ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Gaud pushes his forearm into Manjhi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gaud.  Manjhi almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Gaud steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Gaud digs in a left uppercut to Manjhi's body.  
Gaud throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Gaud clinches his opponent.  Gaud is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gaud lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Gaud digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Gaud steps inside and forces Manjhi to retreat into the corner.  Gaud quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Gaud is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Gaud lands a solid left uppercut.  
Manjhi is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gaud hits home with an overhand left.  
Gaud closes the distance.  Manjhi pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Gaud finds the target with a jab.  
Gaud is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Gaud steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Manjhi tries to keep the action at long range.  Gaud lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Gaud closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Manjhi sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gaud lands a firm cross.  
Manjhi pivots to the left of his opponent.  Gaud finds the target with a jab.  Gaud tries to land a right uppercut, but Manjhi parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Manjhi's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Gaud closes the distance and is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Manjhi's ribs.  
Gaud closes the distance and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Manjhi sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Manjhi tries to keep the action at long range.  Gaud lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Manjhi almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Gaud is looking to close the distance and is on target with a solid left hook.  Gaud throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Gaud lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Gaud ties up his opponent.  Gaud is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Gaud to stop holding.  
Manjhi steps to the outside.  Gaud is looking to force the stoppage!  Gaud lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS MANJHI SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Gaud!
