Leighton McManus vs Rob Cranston

Boxing Daily Report from the Supreme Boxing Promotions promoted show at Daniel MacDermott Gym, Boston,  taking place on 02/01/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Massachusetts Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leighton McManus (18 - 8 - 1) who hails from Boston, USA and Rob Cranston(11 - 7 - 1) from Lowell, USA.  Both McManus and Cranston weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Noble, and the three ringside judges are Dominic Lowder, Sam Evans and Ian Sands.  

Round 1: 

Cranston sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
McManus is on target with a cross.  
McManus steps to the outside.  McManus quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cranston lands an overhand left.  
McManus sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cranston throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
McManus retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Cranston is whaling away with hooks, but McManus keeps his defence tight.
