Alec Soutter vs Paul Oliver

Boxing Daily Report from the Darko Promotions promoted show at Mel Quay Gym, Nashville,  taking place on 02/01/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Tennessee Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alec Soutter (14 - 12(1) - 5) who hails from Memphis, USA and Paul Oliver(11 - 5 - 2) from Nashville, USA.  Soutter weighed in at 134 pounds and 8 ounces, while Oliver weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Cranston, and the three ringside judges are Scott Vaill, Paul Loudon and Ricky Bees.  

Round 1: 

Soutter gets on the inside.  Oliver lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Oliver is on target with a cross.  
Oliver gets on the inside and tries to land a left hook, but Soutter blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Oliver lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Soutter tries to step out of his opponents range and throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Oliver steps inside.  Oliver is on target with a left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Soutter has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Soutter pivots from in front of his opponent.  Oliver hits home with a right hook.  
Oliver forces Soutter to back into the ropes.  Oliver pivots to the side of his opponent.  Soutter hits home with a cross.  
Oliver lands a left uppercut.  
Soutter lands a cross.  
Soutter forces Oliver to retreat onto the ropes.  Soutter pivots from in front of his opponent.  Oliver attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Soutter to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Oliver and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.  
Soutter tries to step out of his opponents range.  Oliver connects with an overhand left.  
Oliver walks Soutter into the blue corner.  Oliver pivots from in front of his opponent.  Soutter tries to land a right uppercut, but Oliver slips the shot and counters with a left hook.
