Emanuel Barba vs Joaquin Avalos

Boxing Daily Report from the Boomer Promotions promoted show at Macumba Habana, Havana,  taking place on 22/12/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Emanuel Barba (2 - 1) who hails from Camaguey, Cuba and Joaquin Avalos(3 - 10 - 3) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Barba and Avalos weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alvino Navarra, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Llamas, Santiago Valenciano and Desiderio Estacio.  

Round 1: 

Barba tries to land a right uppercut, but Avalos sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Barba gets on the inside and digs in a left uppercut to Avalos's ribs.  
Avalos tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Avalos tries to land a jab, but Barba slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Avalos lands a right hook.  
Avalos pivots from in front of his opponent.  Avalos throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Barba advances into close range.  Avalos hits home with a left hook.  
Avalos pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.

Barba advances into close range.  As Avalos tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Barba has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.

Barba sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Avalos hits home with an overhand right.  
Avalos drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Barba lands a cross.
