Kazim Farooq vs Rafiq Gadjibabayev

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Tajikistan-Dushanbe promoted show at Dushanbe Abasov, Dushanbe,  taking place on 11/01/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Tajikistan-Dushanbe Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kazim Farooq (8 - 9(1) - 2) who hails from Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Rafiq Gadjibabayev(5 - 16(2) - 3) from Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  Farooq weighed in at 107 pounds and 12 ounces, while Gadjibabayev weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Safar Gadzhiev, and the three ringside judges are Munavvar Akperov, Aleksandr Asadov and Vuqar Dadashev.  

Round 1: 

Farooq advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Farooq manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Farooq feints a cross, fooling Gadjibabayev into launching a left hook counter.  Farooq avoids the shot and counters with a left hook.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gadjibabayev dabs at his face checking for damage.  Gadjibabayev has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
