Kei Hagiwara vs Ryuu Koike

Boxing Daily Report from the Hidaka promoted show at Kyoto Trade Fair Center Inamori Hall, Kyoto,  taking place on 23/01/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Japan-Tokyo Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kei Hagiwara (17 - 3 - 3) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Ryuu Koike(10 - 6(2) - 5) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Hagiwara and Koike weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Keiichi Toma, and the three ringside judges are Hitoshi Morishita, Yuichi Hoshino and Yutaka Kataoka.  

Round 1: 

Koike lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Hagiwara pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.

Koike advances into close range.  Koike pivots to the side of his opponent.  Koike wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hagiwara dabs at his face checking for damage.

Koike hits home with a left hook.  
Koike is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Hagiwara lands a cross.  
Koike is looking to close the distance.  Koike lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  As Hagiwara tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Koike.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Hagiwara lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Koike is looking to close the distance and forces Hagiwara to back into the red corner.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Hagiwara has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused a minor cut .  
Koike gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.
