Chima Kalu vs Izunna Ede

Boxing Daily Report from the Lushina Promotions promoted show at Port Harcourt Pyagbara, Port Harcourt,  taking place on 27/01/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Rivers State Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chima Kalu (16(3) - 5) who hails from Port Harcourt, Nigeria and Izunna Ede(6 - 14(1) - 2) from Port Harcourt, Nigeria.  Both Kalu and Ede weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Prince Nwapa, and the three ringside judges are Brown Bassey, Alen Akika and Zafa Saladin.  

Round 1: 

Kalu feints a cross, tricking Ede into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Kalu springs the trap, countering with  a solid left uppercut.  
Ede steps away from his opponent.  Kalu feints a jab, tricking Ede into launching a right hook counter.  Kalu springs the trap, countering with  a left uppercut.  
Kalu lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Kalu holds on to his opponent.  Kalu tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ede behind the head. The referee warns Kalu and breaks the clinch.  
Ede lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Kalu hits home with a stinging cross.  
Kalu steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ede sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kalu drives a left uppercut into Ede's liver.  Kalu ties up his opponent.  Kalu leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Kalu's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Kalu lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ede pivots to the right of his opponent.  Kalu lands a left uppercut.  
Kalu circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Ede tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Kalu throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kalu digs in a right hook to Ede's body.  
Ede steps away from his opponent.  Kalu is on target with a sharp overhand left.  
Kalu is looking to close the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kalu lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Kalu clinches his opponent.  Kalu uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ede behind the head. The ref breaks Kalu's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Kalu lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Kalu is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kalu gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Kalu is looking to close the distance and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Kalu tries to land a left hook, but Ede blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kalu is on target with a powerful right hook to Ede's body.  EDE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ede's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Ede's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

As they grapple, Kalu pushes his forearm into Ede's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kalu to stop fouling.  
Ede steps to the outside.  Kalu stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Kalu lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS EDE!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Ede now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Kalu gets on the inside and digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kalu steps inside.  Ede throws a right hook, but Kalu clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kalu lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kalu gets on the inside and drives a left hook into Ede's body.  Kalu ties up his opponent.  Kalu hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Kalu lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Kalu lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kalu lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a double left hook to his opponents head.
