Antonio Meraz vs Onofre Dieguez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Dominican Republic-Santiago promoted show at Santiago de los Caba Aparicio, Santiago de los Caballeros,  taking place on 26/01/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Dominican Republic-Santiago Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Antonio Meraz (12 - 10(3) - 3) who hails from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic and Onofre Dieguez(5(2) - 0 - 1) from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.  Both Meraz and Dieguez weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quico Amaya, and the three ringside judges are Sagaz Mieras, Ivan Laris and Carlos De Anda.  

Round 1:

Meraz steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Dieguez blocks the shot and counters with a big left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MERAZ WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Meraz quickly recovers.
