Ian Gunion vs Mike Howell

Boxing Daily Report from the boxeraifan promoted show at Lakewood White, Lakewood,  taking place on 03/02/2030:

Clearly boxeraifan have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Gunion (9(6) - 0) who hails from Longmont, USA and Mike Howell(9 - 13 - 5) from Houston, USA.  Both Gunion and Howell weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brad Spaulding, and the three ringside judges are Glynn Wardrop, Gregor Alexander and Oliver Everett.  

Round 1: 

Gunion closes the distance.  Gunion hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Gunion throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Gunion holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Gunion pushes his forearm into Howell's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gunion lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gunion sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gunion connects with a right hook.  Gunion clinches his opponent.  Gunion pushes his forearm into Howell's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  As Gunion tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Howell dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Gunion leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Howell is whaling away with hooks, but Gunion keeps his defence tight.  
Gunion digs in a right hook to Howell's ribs.  
Gunion lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Howell quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gunion lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gunion throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Gunion ties up his opponent.  Gunion pushes his forearm into Howell's face.  The ref breaks Gunion's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gunion tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Gunion is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Gunion lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Howell is looking to close the distance.  Howell quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gunion lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gunion lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Gunion lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.

Howell stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Gunion lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Howell steps inside and throws a left hook, but Gunion clinches his opponent.  Gunion is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gunion steps to the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Howell quickly recovers. 
Gunion gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Gunion lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Gunion is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Gunion lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head, KNOCKING HOWELL DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Howell now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Howell advances into close range.  Gunion lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Gunion senses Howell is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Gunion lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, DROPPING HOWELL TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Gunion!
