Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Canale Arena, Memphis,  taking place on 02/02/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are John Cecil (1 - 0) who hails from Portsmouth, UK and Robert Leithead(1 - 0) from Denver, USA.  Cecil weighed in at 108 pounds, while Leithead weighed in at 107 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Billy Dey, and the three ringside judges are Clint Blagg, Kris Breck and Dan Stevenson.  

Round 1: 

Cecil closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Cecil ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Cecil pushes his forearm into Leithead's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Cecil manages to force Leithead onto the ropes.  Cecil lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body.  Cecil clinches his opponent.  Cecil is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Cecil pushes his forearm into Leithead's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Cecil about fouling.  
Cecil is looking to close the distance.  Cecil pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Cecil lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cecil lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Cecil lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Cecil ties up his opponent.  Cecil is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Cecil's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cecil drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Leithead throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cecil is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Cecil hits home with a right hook.

Cecil digs in a left hook to Leithead's liver.  
Cecil throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Cecil clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Cecil lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cecil dabs at his face checking for damage.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Leithead's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Leithead's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Leithead's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Cecil pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cecil lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Cecil clinches his opponent.  Cecil is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Cecil pushes his forearm into Leithead's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Cecil forces Leithead to back into the corner.  Cecil hits home with a firm left hook.  
Cecil lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Cecil digs in a left hook to Leithead's body.  
Cecil digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Cecil ties up his opponent.  Cecil leans on his opponent using all his weight. Cecil uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Leithead behind the head.
