Jax Curiel vs Xavier Belasco

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Manabi promoted show at Angel Gimenez Gym, Manta,  taking place on 18/01/2030:

Clearly AI Ecuador-Manabi have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Manabi Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jax Curiel (8 - 11 - 3) who hails from Manta, Ecuador and Xavier Belasco(7(5) - 0) from Manta, Ecuador.  Both Curiel and Belasco weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cris Victoria, and the three ringside judges are Xaverius Malo, Xaver Barbo and Gervasio Arroyo.  

Round 1: 

Curiel lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Belasco lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Curiel quickly recovers. 
Curiel sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Curiel throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Belasco advances into close range and drives a solid left uppercut into Curiel's body.  
Belasco advances into close range.  Belasco sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Belasco attempts to land a left hook, but Curiel blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Curiel is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Curiel feints a left, and then lands a jab.  
Curiel steps to the outside.  Belasco quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Belasco gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Belasco ties up his opponent.  Curiel hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. As they grapple, Belasco pushes his forearm into Curiel's face.  The ref breaks Belasco's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Belasco is on target with a right uppercut.  
Belasco tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a stiff jab.  
Belasco drives a solid right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Belasco closes the distance.  Belasco sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Curiel throws a right hook, but Belasco clinches his opponent.  Curiel leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Belasco is looking to close the distance.  Belasco pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a firm left hook.  
Belasco lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Belasco lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Belasco is looking to keep his distance.  Curiel is on target with a cross.  
Belasco is looking to close the distance.  Belasco quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Curiel tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Belasco forces Curiel to back into the ropes.  Belasco pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Belasco advances into close range.  Belasco sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Belasco lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Belasco attempts to land a right hook, but Curiel dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Belasco lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Belasco holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Belasco pushes his forearm into Curiel's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Belasco about fouling.  
Belasco gets on the inside and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Curiel almost instantly gets his legs back.

Belasco DETONATES a SAVAGE left uppercut on his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE CURIEL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Curiel switches the action to the outside.  Belasco is looking to force the stoppage!  Belasco connects with a mean right uppercut.  CURIEL IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Curiel now seems to have his senses back.  
Belasco is looking to close the distance and lands a stinging right hook.  
Belasco is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Belasco lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Belasco advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  
Belasco lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Curiel recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Belasco lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Belasco is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Belasco stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Curiel tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Belasco lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Curiel is looking to keep his distance.  Belasco attempts to land a jab, but Curiel slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Curiel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Belasco lands with a stiff jab.  
Belasco is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS CURIEL TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Curiel is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Belasco!
