Joseph Murphy vs Davie Busto

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 25/01/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joseph Murphy (17 - 2 - 1) who hails from Columbus, USA and Davie Busto(18(4) - 2) from Ontario, USA.  Both Murphy and Busto weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Oliver McCleese, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Ogle, Hugh Hier and Vincent Weale.  

Round 1: 

Busto steps inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Busto drives a solid left hook into his opponents liver.  MURPHY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Murphy dabs at his face checking for damage.  Murphy has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  Murphy quickly recovers. 
Murphy connects with a right hook.  Busto holds on to his opponent.  Busto is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Busto's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Busto steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Busto is on target with a stinging left hook to Murphy's ribs.  
Busto steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Busto sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Murphy steps to the outside and finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Busto gets on the inside and drives a firm left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Busto pivots to the right of his opponent.  Murphy attempts to land a right uppercut, but Busto slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Murphy's body.  
Busto pivots to the right of his opponent.  Murphy throws a left hook, but Busto clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Busto pushes his forearm into Murphy's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Murphy throws a left uppercut, but Busto ties up his opponent.  Busto is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Busto's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Busto forces Murphy to back into the ropes.  Busto is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Murphy's ribs.  
Busto is on target with a left uppercut.  
Busto digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Busto lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Busto throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Murphy is looking to keep his distance.  Busto is on target with a stiff jab.  
Busto closes the distance.  Murphy throws a right uppercut, but Busto holds on to his opponent.  Busto hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Busto is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Busto connects with a right uppercut.  Busto ties up his opponent.  Busto leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Murphy steps away from his opponent.  Busto quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Busto steps inside and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Busto lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body, AND DROPS MURPHY!  He manages to get up at 6.  Murphy quickly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Murphy's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Murphy's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Busto steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Busto lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Busto closes the distance.  Busto thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Murphy away.  Busto slams a spiteful right uppercut into his opponents body.  MURPHY IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Murphy now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Busto cuts off the ring, trapping Murphy on the ropes.  Busto lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Murphy steps to the outside.  Busto lands a cross.  
Busto is on target with a cross.  Busto attempts to land an overhand left, but Murphy sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Busto's body.  
Busto is looking to close the distance.  Busto pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a powerful right hook to his opponents body.  MURPHY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Murphy switches the action to the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  It looks like Murphy has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Busto crashes a nasty right hook to his opponents body.  MURPHY HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Busto walks Murphy into the corner.  Busto crashes a mean right uppercut to his opponents body.  DOWN GOES MURPHY!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like Murphy has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
