James McGowan vs Antwan Roche

Boxing Daily Report from the Maximillion McKing promoted show at Corey Karpiak Gym, Detroit,  taking place on 18/02/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Michigan Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James McGowan (3 - 6 - 3) who hails from Detroit, USA and Antwan Roche(18(1) - 1(1)) from Detroit, USA.  McGowan weighed in at 134 pounds and 15 ounces, while Roche weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Swineford, and the three ringside judges are Max Gura, Jonathan Bees and Jasper Mudie.  

Round 1: 

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McGowan dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to McGowan.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
McGowan tries to step out of his opponents range.  Roche connects with a cross.
