Naghi Dzhevanshir vs Gazi Quadri

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Tofiq Ismaiylov Stadium, Baku,  taking place on 30/03/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the West Asian Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AZTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Naghi Dzhevanshir (19(11) - 0) who hails from Baku, Azerbaijan and Gazi Quadri(19(1) - 7(1)) from Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  Both Dzhevanshir and Quadri weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shamil Abdurrahmirov, and the three ringside judges are Qudrat Faradjev, Nariman Jafri and Urfan Abaskuliyev.  

Round 1: 

Quadri is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a jab, but Dzhevanshir sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Dzhevanshir steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Quadri pivots to the right of his opponent.  Quadri throws a right hook, but Dzhevanshir holds on to his opponent.  Dzhevanshir is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Dzhevanshir's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dzhevanshir lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Dzhevanshir walks Quadri down, trapping him on the ropes.  Dzhevanshir lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Dzhevanshir pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Dzhevanshir closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Dzhevanshir lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Quadri is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a cross.  Quadri throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Dzhevanshir closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Quadri lands a left hook.  
Dzhevanshir lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Quadri throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Dzhevanshir lands a firm right hook.

Dzhevanshir gets on the inside.  Quadri pivots to the left of his opponent.  Quadri throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Quadri tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a cross.  
Dzhevanshir steps inside and lands a firm left hook.  Dzhevanshir attempts to land a left hook, but Quadri slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Dzhevanshir is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Quadri blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Dzhevanshir gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, KNOCKING QUADRI DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 8.

Dzhevanshir forces Quadri to retreat into a corner.  Dzhevanshir sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Dzhevanshir lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Dzhevanshir clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Quadri pushes his forearm into Dzhevanshir's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Quadri about fouling.  Quadri almost instantly gets his legs back.

Dzhevanshir lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Dzhevanshir throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Dzhevanshir lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Dzhevanshir steps inside.  Quadri attempts to land a left hook, but Dzhevanshir slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Dzhevanshir is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Dzhevanshir holds on to his opponent.  Quadri hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Quadri leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Quadri is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook to Quadri's ribs.  
Dzhevanshir lands a jab.  Dzhevanshir tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Dzhevanshir is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Quadri quickly recovers. 
Quadri is on target with a jab.  
Quadri sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Dzhevanshir EXPLODES a mean left hook into his opponents face.  QUADRI IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Quadri's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Quadri's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
