Gavin McCloy vs Roman Villalon

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, Las Vegas,  taking place on 09/03/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gavin McCloy (8(2) - 0) who hails from Birmingham, UK and Roman Villalon(3 - 5 - 1) from New York City, USA.  McCloy weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces, while Villalon weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Edward Almodovar, and the three ringside judges are Dale Cloyd, Mark Hasson and Dale Cloyd.  

Round 1: 

McCloy steps inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Villalon's body.  
McCloy drives a right uppercut into Villalon's body.  
McCloy lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  McCloy ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McCloy pushes his forearm into Villalon's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns McCloy.  
McCloy advances into close range.  McCloy quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
McCloy cuts off the ring, trapping Villalon in a corner.  McCloy attempts to land a right uppercut, but Villalon blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
McCloy digs in a left uppercut to Villalon's body.  
McCloy lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  
Villalon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McCloy lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McCloy steps inside and digs in a right hook to Villalon's ribcage.  
McCloy gets on the inside.  McCloy hits home with a right uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McCloy dabs at his face checking for damage.  
McCloy lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
McCloy gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  McCloy holds on to his opponent.  McCloy leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. McCloy tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Villalon behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McCloy lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
McCloy circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Villalon attempts to land a right hook, but McCloy slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
McCloy sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into Villalon's body.  
McCloy connects with a right hook.  
McCloy digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Villalon's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Villalon's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Villalon's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
