Alfonso Mestas vs Arjan Balik

Boxing Daily Report from the RingSlide España promoted show at Cubierta de Leganés, Madrid,  taking place on 30/03/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Southern Europe Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Canal + Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alfonso Mestas (27(16) - 0) who hails from Alcala de Henares, Spain and Arjan Balik(9 - 9(2)) from Tirana, Albania.  Both Mestas and Balik weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Xaver Lasso, and the three ringside judges are Cortez Pacheco, Angel Cobos and Juan Canas.  

Round 1: 

Mestas steps inside and digs in a right hook to Balik's body.  
Mestas lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.

Mestas advances into close range.  Balik digs in a left uppercut to Mestas's body.  Mestas holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Balik pushes his forearm into Mestas's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Balik to stop fouling.

Balik pivots to the side of his opponent.  Balik throws a left hook, but Mestas ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mestas pushes his forearm into Balik's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Balik is looking to keep his distance and throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Balik's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Balik's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Mestas drives a stinging left uppercut into Balik's liver.  Mestas holds on to his opponent.  Mestas uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Balik behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mestas drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  
Balik is looking to keep his distance and throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Mestas advances into close range and connects with a solid right hook.  
Mestas sidesteps to the right of his opponent and DETONATES a nasty right hook on his opponents face.  BALIK WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Mestas EXPLODES a hurtful left uppercut into his opponents face.  
Mestas senses Balik is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Mestas lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND BALIK IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  It looks like Balik has now recovered from that shot earlier.
