Diego Gallardo vs Neper Chavis

Boxing Daily Report from the Rumfa Promotions promoted show at Juan Gaytan Gym, Buenaventura,  taking place on 16/03/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Colombia-Valle del Cauca Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Gallardo (8 - 13(2) - 3) who hails from Cali, Colombia and Neper Chavis(15 - 6) from Cali, Colombia.  Both Gallardo and Chavis weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ovidio Bail, and the three ringside judges are Miguel Luz, Rodrigo Toral and Alejandro Bustamante.  

Round 1: 

Chavis gets on the inside.  Gallardo pivots from in front of his opponent.  Chavis lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Chavis ties up his opponent.  Chavis uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Gallardo behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
