Jawad Nasiri vs Noe Zepeda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Utah promoted show at Richie Akins Gym, Salt Lake City,  taking place on 28/01/2021:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the North American Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jawad Nasiri (6(1) - 1) who hails from Salt Lake City, USA and Noe Zepeda(6 - 1) from Ponce, Puerto Rico.  Both Nasiri and Zepeda weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rhod Gubay, and the three ringside judges are John Egerton, Charlie McNeely and Neil Probert.  

Round 1: 

Nasiri lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.

Zepeda closes the distance and manages to force Nasiri onto the ropes.  Zepeda hits home with a firm right uppercut.  
Nasiri tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Nasiri switches the action to the outside and hits home with a hard jab.  Nasiri throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook to Nasiri's liver.

Nasiri is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Zepeda quickly recovers.

Zepeda steps inside.  Zepeda could be stopped here, if Nasiri can find the right shot!  Nasiri lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS ZEPEDA!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Nasiri!
