Kian Bruce vs Mark Burnes

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Chapiteau CCSE Maisonneuve, Montreal,  taking place on 08/03/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Kian Bruce (5 - 0) who hails from Laval, Canada and Mark Burnes(6 - 9(2) - 1) from Vancouver, Canada.  Both Bruce and Burnes weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Destin Dauphin, and the three ringside judges are Gerard Segalen, Elliot Girardot and Varocher Painchaud.  

Round 1: 

Burnes tries to step out of his opponents range.  Bruce finds the target with a jab.  
Burnes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Burnes attempts to land a cross, but Bruce blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook to Burnes's ribcage.  
Burnes forces Bruce to retreat into the corner.  Burnes connects with a left uppercut.  
Bruce closes the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Bruce lands a right hook.  
Burnes steps inside.  Bruce connects with a left hook.  
Bruce gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Bruce forces Burnes to back into a corner.  Bruce is on target with a left uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Burnes dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Bruce pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Burnes attempts to land a right hook, but Bruce sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Bruce lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Bruce steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Burnes lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Bruce lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Bruce steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Burnes's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Bruce gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
