Lisandro Chia vs Juan Rodriquez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Cavite promoted show at Dasmarinas Augusto, Dasmarinas,  taking place on 30/03/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IBC, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Lisandro Chia (19 - 11(2)) who hails from Silang, Philippines and Juan Rodriquez(18 - 1) from Dasmarinas, Philippines.  Chia weighed in at 107 pounds and 2 ounces, while Rodriquez weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Diego Arong, and the three ringside judges are Diego Lakian, Jose Utak and Rico Riquelme.  

Round 1: 

Rodriquez gets on the inside and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Chia throws a right hook, but Rodriquez holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Rodriquez pushes his forearm into Chia's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Rodriquez to stop fouling.  
Rodriquez lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  Rodriquez clinches his opponent.  Rodriquez leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Chia throws a left hook, but Rodriquez holds on to his opponent.  Rodriquez leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Rodriquez gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Chia parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rodriquez steps inside.  Chia sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

Chia attempts to land a cross, but Rodriquez blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Rodriquez sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Chia is looking to keep his distance.  Rodriquez throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rodriquez gets on the inside and walks Chia into a corner.  Rodriquez lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Rodriquez lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Rodriquez holds on to his opponent.  Rodriquez leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Rodriquez senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Chia and just needs the right shot.  Rodriquez lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS CHIA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  It looks like Chia has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Chia's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Chia's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Chia steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.

Rodriquez advances into close range.  Rodriquez lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Rodriquez wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Chia dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Chia.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Rodriquez lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Chia sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Rodriquez lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Chia quickly recovers. 
Rodriquez forces Chia to back into the corner.  Rodriquez lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Rodriquez clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Rodriquez pushes his forearm into Chia's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rodriquez about fouling.  
Rodriquez hits home with a firm right hook.  Rodriquez clinches his opponent.  Rodriquez is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Rodriquez lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Rodriquez advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Rodriquez drives a left uppercut into Chia's body.  Rodriquez attempts to land a left uppercut, but Chia slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Rodriquez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a firm right hook to Chia's ribs.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Rodriquez has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Rodriquez drives a stinging left hook into Chia's body.  Rodriquez attempts to land a left hook, but Chia blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rodriquez drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  
Rodriquez manages to force Chia into a corner.  Rodriquez is on target with a powerful right hook to Chia's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE CHIA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Chia almost instantly recovers. 
Rodriquez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.
