Ilkin Toguz vs Mehmed Cos

Boxing Daily Report from the Bonga Promotions promoted show at Gaziantep Can, Gaziantep,  taking place on 02/04/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Turkey Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NTV Spor, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ilkin Toguz (19(9) - 3) who hails from Bursa, Turkey and Mehmed Cos(22 - 6(3)) from Gaziantep, Turkey.  Toguz weighed in at 147 pounds, while Cos weighed in at 146 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Suleyman Oray, and the three ringside judges are Ozgur Bakkal, Bora Mutlu and Umut Chuhadar.  

Round 1: 

Toguz closes the distance.  Cos pivots from in front of his opponent.  Toguz drives a stinging right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Toguz lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Toguz gets on the inside.  Toguz sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Cos is on target with a right hook.  Cos tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Toguz digs in a weighty left uppercut to Cos's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE COS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Cos could be stopped here, if Toguz can find the right shot!  Toguz lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES COS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Cos now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Toguz is on target with a sharp cross.  
Toguz lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Cos recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Cos tries to land a jab, but Toguz sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Cos tries to step out of his opponents range.  Toguz is on target with a stinging cross.  
Toguz is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Toguz lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS COS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Cos quickly recovers. 
Toguz manouvers Cos onto the ropes.  Cos lands a right hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Toguz advances into close range and digs in a stinging left uppercut to Cos's body.  
Cos throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Toguz gets on the inside and is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Toguz digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Toguz lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Cos drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cos's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Cos's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Toguz drives a right hook into Cos's body.  
Toguz closes the distance.  Toguz sidesteps to the right of his opponent and slams a spiteful left hook into Cos's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE COS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Cos is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Toguz is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Toguz lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND SENDS COS TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Cos now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Toguz lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cos throws a left uppercut, but Toguz clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Toguz pushes his forearm into Cos's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Toguz about fouling.  
Toguz lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Toguz lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Toguz lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Toguz lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Toguz attempts to land a left hook, but Cos sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Cos attempts to land a cross, but Toguz slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Toguz steps inside.  Cos sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Toguz drives a firm left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Toguz steps inside.  Toguz wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Cos.  That has caused nasty swelling  around the right eye.
