Jerrold Puerta vs Robert McDonald

Boxing Daily Report from the Boomer Promotions promoted show at Florida State Conference Center, Tallahassee,  taking place on 05/04/2030:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jerrold Puerta (2 - 0) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Robert McDonald(1 - 2) from Madison, USA.  Both Puerta and McDonald weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Stuart Gillund, and the three ringside judges are Onofre Villagomez, Chris Villalta and Paul Bason.  

Round 1: 

McDonald gets on the inside.  Puerta drives a firm right hook into McDonald's body.  
Puerta pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.

Puerta is looking to close the distance.  Puerta leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  McDonald steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McDonald's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  McDonald's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McDonald's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
