Mark Nichol vs Paul Barmore

Boxing Daily Report from the Kanda Promotions promoted show at Davie Heatley Gym, Surrey,  taking place on 15/04/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-British Columbia Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Nichol (9 - 14 - 3) who hails from Surrey, Canada and Paul Barmore(16 - 8 - 1) from Vancouver, Canada.  Both Nichol and Barmore weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alec Aitken, and the three ringside judges are John Hendren, Rex Forker and Seth Kinnon.  

Round 1: 

Barmore lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Barmore advances into close range and walks Nichol onto the ropes.  Barmore digs in a right uppercut to Nichol's body.  
Barmore pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Nichol's body.  
Barmore forces Nichol to retreat onto the ropes.  Barmore throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Barmore clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Barmore pushes his forearm into Nichol's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Barmore.  
Barmore is looking to close the distance.  Barmore sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nichol dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Barmore quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Barmore is on target with a left uppercut.  Barmore attempts to land a left uppercut, but Nichol blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Barmore lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Barmore holds on to his opponent.  Nichol leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Barmore advances into close range and drives a right hook into his opponents body.

Nichol lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.
