Telford Nicolai vs Umber Messier

Boxing Daily Report from the Belpit Promo #5 promoted show at Palais Des Sports de Gerland, Lyon,  taking place on 02/05/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ART Prime Sport, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Telford Lucky Nick Nicolai (12(10) - 2) who hails from Lausanne, Switzerland and Umber Messier(10 - 7 - 4) from Paris, France.  Both Nicolai and Messier weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Boyce de Beauvoir, and the three ringside judges are Alexandre Courtellemont, Cable Nin and Boyce Jacob.  

Round 1: 

Messier throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Messier closes the distance.  Nicolai pivots from in front of his opponent.  Messier throws a right uppercut, but Nicolai ties up his opponent.  Nicolai is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nicolai switches the action to the outside and hits home with a stinging overhand right.  
Nicolai feints a jab, tricking Messier into countering with a left uppercut.  Nicolai is waiting for the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Messier gets on the inside.  Nicolai sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nicolai lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Nicolai holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Messier pushes his forearm into Nicolai's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  Nicolai tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Nicolai pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Messier closes the distance.  Nicolai pivots from in front of his opponent.  Messier throws a left uppercut, but Nicolai ties up his opponent.  Nicolai is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Nicolai and breaks the clinch.  
Nicolai steps to the outside and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Messier recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Nicolai feints a left, and then is on target with a solid right hook.  
Messier advances into close range.  Nicolai lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Nicolai clinches his opponent.  Nicolai leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Messier pushes his forearm into Nicolai's face.  The ref breaks Nicolai's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Messier recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Nicolai lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Nicolai lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Nicolai hits home with a solid overhand right.  
Nicolai is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Nicolai feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Messier advances into close range.  Nicolai is on target with a left uppercut.  Nicolai clinches his opponent.  Nicolai leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nicolai hits home with a cross.  
Nicolai tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with an overhand right.  
Nicolai feints a right, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Nicolai hits home with a solid cross.  Nicolai attempts to land a cross, but Messier dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Messier steps inside.  Nicolai lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS MESSIER TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Nicolai clinches his opponent.  Nicolai uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Messier's kidney. 
Nicolai thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Messier away.  Nicolai lands a cross, left uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, KNOCKING MESSIER DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  Messier now seems to have his senses back.  
Messier walks Nicolai into the corner.  Nicolai connects with a firm cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Messier's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Messier's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Messier's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Messier's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Nicolai lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Messier gets on the inside.  Nicolai lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Nicolai clinches his opponent.  Messier pushes his forearm into Nicolai's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  Messier almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Nicolai is on target with a left hook.  
Messier hits home with a left uppercut.  
Nicolai lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Messier is looking to close the distance.  Nicolai lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Nicolai steps to the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.

Nicolai steps away from his opponent and lands two straights followed by an overhand right to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MESSIER DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.
