Galan Papas vs Leander Contos

Boxing Daily Report from the Athens Boxing Club promoted show at Athens Rella, Athens,  taking place on 19/04/2030:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Greece-Attica Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Galan Papas (11 - 9 - 1) who hails from Athens, Greece and Leander Contos(11 - 6(1) - 3) from Athens, Greece.  Both Papas and Contos weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Xeno Mena, and the three ringside judges are Damian Carras, Telephus Boulos and Pietr Stathopoulos.  

Round 1: 

Papas is looking to keep his distance.  Papas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.  
Contos is looking to close the distance.  Papas hits home with a left uppercut.

Contos sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Contos pivots to the right of his opponent.  Contos wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Papas dabs at his face checking for damage.
